Inner Kids Training for Professionals with Susan Kaiser Greenland
Overview of Theory & Practice in Mindful Games: Sharing Mindfulness and Meditation with Children, Teens, and Families
This 12-hour training will provide an overview of the theory and practice of Inner Kid’s approach to mindfulness with youth and its specific applications in home, classrooms, and clinical therapy settings. Participants will learn how to foster six essential life skills – Quieting, Focusing, Seeing, Reframing, Caring and Connecting, using mindful games and activities that have been empirically tested over more than a decade with thousands of children. In addition to helping youth, mindfulness in school and clinical settings can strengthen and support how you communicate and teach with activities that develop greater mind-body awareness, compassionate life skills, and help you manage stress.
Participants:
This course is best suited for educators (pre-k through high school), therapists, early childhood professionals and other providers who work with youth. Prior experience with personal mindfulness practice is strongly encouraged. A certificate of completion will be provided for participant professional development credit.
This Level 1 12-hour training is limited to 70 registrations, and is geared toward professionals who work with children, teens and families. A personal mindfulness practice is strongly encouraged. While this training is an overview to the theory and practice of Inner Kids, it does not take the place of an introduction to mindfulness class.
