Slow down, breathe in the mountain air, and have fun with the whole family at this one of a kind Mindful Games retreat at the Shambhala Mountain Center in the Colorado Rockies. Separately and together, parents and kids will learn fun, brief, original, and effective mindfulness activities that build lasting psychological strengths while offering moments of calm and humor even when stress and strong emotions in your household run high. Mindful games strengthen and support how families connect to and communicate with one another while helping parents and kids alike develop greater mind-body awareness, compassionate life skills, and manage stress.
Parents will be offered a chance to practice with other parents and learn age-appropriate activity-based mindfulness for families with Susan Kaiser Greenland, author of the Mindful Child and Mindful Games. Children will take part in a rich program of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga taught through stories, songs, and play with Leslie Gosset. Everyone will come together for fun activities such as hikes, games, and evenings by the fire. Days will be spacious so that the entire family will have the opportunity to connect, play, learn and deepen their experiences with mindfulness together and in community with other families.
